Ibiza travel attractions

Do you want to enjoy a blue sky on a perfect beach ? Ibiza is a perfect destination to relax. What can you see in Ibiza? Cala Comte: People in the know rate this beach on the west coast of Ibiza as the best on the island. It’s not too far from San Antonio, and in the summer you’ll be able to catch a bus or ferry to get here. What you’ll see when you arrive will blow you away. It’s an 800-metre strip of sand that hugs the twisting contours of the rocky coast. Offshore is a small wedge-like island and this helps to create large, lagoon-like pools of shimmering turquoise water. The bars on the rocks behind will fill up in the summer evenings, as the sunset here is stunning.

The resort of Cala Llonga boasts a wide and sandy white beach, views over a beautiful bay and even hills covered in pine trees to frame the scenery. This is perhaps the most family-oriented place to visit in Ibiza, which means that you’ll find plenty of families with young children in the area. The main beach even offers a playground and a miniature amusement park to keep kids having fun throughout the vacation. Cala Llonga is also situated just 10 minutes from Ibiza Town, which means you can easily head away from the beach and explore the historic attractions any time.

Puig des Molins translates as hill of windmills. Located just outside the old town, and on the original 7th century BC Phoenician settlement site, the area also contains a large, ancient, and well-preserved necropolis, with an estimated 3000 tombs (although only a handful of these are open to the public). The hillside is like a rabbit warren of tombs, most of which remain un-excavated, and you can follow a set route around the hypogea (burial chambers) and even descend into one. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there is also an archeological museum on site, detailing the necropolis’s history century by century. Entry to the museum is very cheap and it makes for a fascinating visit.

Ibiza is known for having a super chill, bohemian style. It also has a few crafty markets that occur on a weekly basis, known as the hippy markets. The one in Es Canar usually happens every Wednesday, while the one in San Carlos happens on Saturday’s. You’ll find countless stalls of handcrafted jewellery, clothes and souvenirs. It’s a colourful and lively atmosphere filled with live music and street food. So go on, shop for something other than a shirt that says “I’d rather be in Ibiza”. Maybe buy something for your fam that proves you weren’t partying 100% of the time (just 97%). Read more details on https://discoveribiza.com/.
