Glamour feather & fur fashion in 2021
Glamour winter bridal fashion collection? While feathers don’t weigh much, with the amount of poultry produced in the U.S. annually, the volume of feathers produced is considerable. For the 8+ billion broilers produced each year, 2-3 billion pounds of feathers are produced that end up in landfills. It aims to regulate fur farms across Europe and improve animal living conditions through what it terms ‘Welfur’ assessments. The scheme looks at cage size, location, food and overall treatment of the animals. Nutria fur, which, according to the Fairchild Dictionary of Fashion, has “a velvety appearance after long guard hairs have been plucked, with colors ranging from cinnamon brown to brown with gray stripes,” was once worn by Greta Garbo and Elizabeth Taylor, and had another moment in the fashion spotlight in 2010, when it appeared in collections by designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Billy Reid. But of course fashion is fickle, and demand has since slowed.
Animals on fur farms are protected against sickness and unfit living conditions. Think about it. The fur farm wants to raise quality products to sell. This would ensure caring for their animals to produce highest quality fur. There are many rules and regulations governing both farming and trapping all over the world, and you can visit the welfare section of our website for more information. Anti-fur groups do not want to hear this message. Many anti-fur campaigns and campaigners are not about improving welfare but simply the abolition of the fur trade on ideological grounds. Most anti-fur myths that are regularly circulated are easily debunked.
